First, car related post.
I emailed Mazda about why in the hell it’s taking so long to get a replacement !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! for my car. They had approved a new seat cover via warranty immediately, but the part was on a mysterious back order. After a few weeks, I sent the email and got a phone call shortly thereafter. Mazda USA contacted Mazda Japan (where the seat cover is coming from) and got it put in priority shipping straight to my preferred dealership. Should have the car good as new in a couple weeks. In the meantime, the current degradation of the seat cover hasn’t gotten any worse, so that’s good. And the Mazda customer service lady was very nice.
And, I got the results of my sleep study. I have Severe Obstructive Sleep Apnea. I ended up doing a home based study (a weird lap belt thing and nose plugs I wore to bed). That showed I quit breathing an average of 41 times an hour! Wow. No wonder I wake up everyday with an excruciating headache and I am groggy/tired all the time. I have to get a CPAP machine, which I’m kind of excited about. I’ll feel like a new man once I wake up and actually got a good night’s sleep the night before!
Have a picture of my 6 doing some water beading for your time:

Good that you’re getting that dealt with. It’s kind of terrifying when you think about it.

Glad they know what is going on, cpaps have also benefited from tech enhancements making them smaller and travel friendlier.

Mmmmmmmmmmm. Beading pron.
I usually hate it when it rains when I’ve finished a car but sometimes. It’s cool to just stand back and water as the water beads build till they reach critical mass and run off.
Glad to hear your getting your sleep apnea sorted out.

Nice. Beads are good, running and tight beads are better but frozen beads after a night of drizzle and then frost look like giant snow flakes.
I’ve seen some beads on a super hydrophobic surface so tight they are almost full spheres standing on top of the paint.

I LOVE my CPAP machine! It took me a couple months to get used to wearing the mask, and it will likely bother you too at first, but push through it. I won’t even consider sleeping without it now, I even take it camping.
